Cinnamon is a sweet spice relished all over the world. Cinnamon oil is obtained from the bark and leaves of cinnamon trees.
Homemade Cinnamon Oil Recipe
Ingredients:
5-6 cinnamon sticks
Extra virgin olive oil
Instructions:
Place the cinnamon sticks in a glass jar and cover them completely with extra virgin olive oil.
Screw the lid on tightly and leave the jar at room temperature for two weeks, shaking the jar occasionally.
After 2 weeks, you can strain the oil through gauze or cheesecloth and put it in a dark bottle.
This oil can be used in desserts, or consumed on its own for medicinal effects.
Cinnamon essential oil has powerful health benefits. It is also a regular in aromatherapy.

It is found that cinnamon oil improve the common symptoms of diabetes. Cinnamon has the ability to control blood sugar, so diabetics find it very useful because it aids them in using less insulin. Add 1 drop of cinnamon essential oil to food after it is cooked. Consuming just 1 drop of cinnamon essential oil provides nutrients from cinnamon. Cinammon essential oil from the bark contains cinnamaldehyde which exerts this strong blood glucose lowering effect.
Protects Brain Function
It is found that cinnamon’s protective antioxidant properties is that they can help defend the brain against developing neurological disorders, such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases. It it activates neuro-protective proteins that protect brain cells from mutation and undergoing damage.
Protects Kidneys
Many researchers have pointed out that cinnamon is highly protective against kidney damage. It has been found to prevent the kidneys from damage induced by alloxan. Similarly, it can protect the kidneys from damage by environmental toxins and reduce its workload.
